Well, I have to say that this past weekend of college football was amazing. I watched Iowa crush Ohio State. Words I thought I would never type. On the first play of the game, J.T. Barrett through a pick six to give Iowa an early 7-0 advantage. The teams traded scores and were deadlocked at 17, when Iowa was forced to punt, the first punt of the game. That's when I thought the Buckeyes would shift the momentum and take the game over, but the opposite happened. Iowa took a 31-17 lead into the half, and the defense had a great third quarter, shutting Barrett and the offense down. Josh Jackson intercepted three Barrett passes on the day, and the Hawks rolled 55-24. I wasn't surprised that Iowa won, but I was, and still am shocked by the score. It did kind of put a damper on the Big 10's chances at the college football playoff, especially with Penn State losing later on to Michigan State. Wisconsin has the best chance of any conference team now, but they play their toughest test of the season this week when Iowa comes to town. We'll see how it all shakes out.

Top Games of the Week
Last week was my worst of the season for predictions at 9-6, now I'm at 55-25 for the season. Some great games this weekend! It should really shuffle up the playoff race.
Notre Dame at Miami: Two teams still in the playoff hunt, both ranked in the top 10. Miami hasn't had a tough schedule, they did knock off Va Tech last week.
Notre Dame 21 Miami 17
TCU at Oklahoma: The winner of this game will be in the drivers seat for the Big 12 title, the loser will probably get knocked out of the playoff race, but could still get into the Big 12 title game.
Oklahoma 31 TCU 24
Oklahoma State at Iowa State: The Cyclones lost a tough one on the road last week at West Virginia, while the Cowboys lost a heart-breaker to the Sooners. Ames should be rockin' for this one.
Iowa State 38 Oklahoma State 35
Michigan State at Ohio State: Michigan State has been a surprise team this year, and got a huge win over Penn State last week. They're still in the hunt for the Big 10 title. Ohio State is coming off an embarrassing performance against Iowa, they'll look to bounce back big time.
Ohio State 31 Michigan State 21
Iowa at Wisconsin: The Hawkeyes have a lot of confidence heading into this one, and they have another chance to spoil another team's shot at the playoffs. The road team usually has the edge in this series as of late.
Iowa 17 Wisconsin 13
Washington at Stanford: Washington is the lone Pac 12 team in the playoff hunt, and they have a tough schedule in front of them. It'll be a lot easier if they can get past Bryce Love and Stanford this week.
Washington 24 Stanford 14
Alabama at Mississippi State: Alabama's schedule has been pretty weak, but no one has really given them a challenge at all. Mississippi State probably won't either, another ho-hum win for the Tide.
Alabama 31 Mississippi State 17
Georgia at Auburn: This is going to be one of the best games of the weekend. Even if Georgia loses, they'll have a shot at the playoff, but it won't be easy. Auburn, with two losses, could sneak in to the playoff hunt with late season wins over Georgia and Alabama.
Auburn 24 Georgia 21
Washington State at Utah: Washington State is still in the hunt for a Pac 12 crown, and they've looked pretty good lately, I think they'll roll past Utah.
Washington State 38 Utah 21
Florida State at Clemson: Before the season started, this was one of the best games on the schedule, but Florida State has been a huge bust this year. They do have talent, can they knock off Clemson?
Clemson 27 Florida State 21
Heisman Watch
1-Baker Mayfield QB Sr Oklahoma
2-Saquon Barkley RB Jr Penn State
3-Bryce Love RB Jr Stanford
4-Mason Rudolph QB Sr Oklahoma State
5-Lamar Jackson QB Jr Louisville
Others to watch: J.T. Barrett QB Sr Ohio State, Jonathan Taylor RB Fr Wisconsin, Rashaad Penny RB Sr San Diego State, Josh Adams RB Jr Notre Dame
Mayfield had a huge game against Oklahoma State to move up to number one. Barkley was held in check by Michigan State. Love is still nursing an ankle injury and was held to a season low. Rudolph continues putting up good numbers. Jackson has ridiculous numbers. Barrett dropped after a poor performance against Iowa. Taylor keeps ripping up Big 10 opponents. Penny would be more well known if he weren't in the Mountain West. Adams didn't play much against Wake Forest, but you should see a heavy dose of him against Miami.
Playoff Race
Things got really interesting this past weekend. There are five undefeated teams, and five one-loss teams with a shot at the playoff.
Undefeated:
Miami 8-0 they play Notre Dame this weekend, and will play Clemson in the ACC title game.
UCF 8-0 they still have to play USF and a possible AAC title game. I don't think they'll get in without a quality win.
Wisconsin 9-0 they play Iowa this weekend, and they still play Michigan, and most likely in the Big 10 title game.
Alabama 9-0 they play at Mississippi State and Auburn, plus a potential matchup with Georgia for the SEC title.
Georgia 9-0 they play at Auburn this week and then the SEC title game will be against Alabama or Auburn.
1-Loss:
Clemson 8-1 they play Florida State this weekend and they close the season at South Carolina. They could be playing an undefeated Miami team for the ACC title.
Oklahoma 8-1 they play TCU and West Virginia, both at home, and then possibly the Big 12 title game.
TCU 8-1 at Oklahoma this weekend, and possibly a Big 12 title game.
Notre Dame 8-1 they have two tough road games at Miami and Stanford. They won't have a conference title game.
Washington 8-1 at Stanford, Utah, Washington State, possible Pac 12 title game.
Things change every week, but the way I see it playing out right now, here's my playoff teams:
1-Alabama vs 4-Clemson, 2-Notre Dame vs 3-Oklahoma
Title Game: 1-Alabama vs 3-Oklahoma
Champion: Alabama
