The Iowa Hawkeyes have a new baseball coach, Rick Heller, and things might be looking up, for Iowa baseball. A fantastic hire, as Heller, a native Iowan, has led three schools to winning seasons. The Iowa roster in 2013 was a pretty young one, and now they will have a coach that is great at developing players, it will be exciting to see the Hawkeyes compete for the conference title and keep the Iowa kids home. There's a lot of talent in the state. Lets take a look at how the former Hawkeyes are doing currently in the minors.

Milwaukee Brewers Through 99 Games
The Milwaukee Brewers are lounging at the bottom of the National League Central with an abysmal 41-58 record, one of the worst in baseball, and to top it off, Ryan Braun, is suspended for the remainder of the season. The Brewers are now without Braun, Corey Hart, and for the time-being, Aramis Ramirez, who can't seem to get healthy. It's the time of year where they start to trade a few older vets for some younger prospects, and to throw in the towel and get some younger guys some big league at bats.
The pitching staff was rolling as they swept Miami with three straight shutouts, but it won't be enough to salvage the season. There are a few bright spots thus far, but fans are already looking ahead to next season.
Jean Segura has continuted hitting well, he's sitting at .321 currently, and enjoyed his first All Star game last week, along with teammate, Carlos Gomez. Gomez, the top defensive player on the team also has added a nice bat to the lineup this year, although, he's currently in a pretty big slump. 1B duties have been filled by a number of players, recently, Juan Francisco, who has done a solid job since coming over from Atlanta. Rickie Weeks went a tear and saved his job at 2B. Aoki has been solid in RF and Jonathan Lucroy has been a nice offensive weapon recently.
The staff has been pretty hot lately despite injuries. The Brewers traded Francisco Rodriquez to the Orioles for prospect, Nick Delmonico, a third basemen with a nice bat. Great addition for the Brewers if he pans out.
Here's a look at how the top 20 prospects are doing so far, according to mlb.com.
