Top Games of the Week
Cincinnat @ Louisville: crucial game in the conference, would have been a matchup of unbeaten teams had Cincy won last week. Louisville 42 Cincinnati 31
Iowa @ Northwestern: this isn't a big game to anyone else except for me. The Hawkeyes are technically still in the running for the division title, but got smashed by Penn State last week. Northwestern had a heart-breaking loss to Nebraska, which team will bounce back? Northwestern 34 Iowa 24
Florida vs Georgia: another big conference game, Florida has been on a roll, Georgia had a rough loss to South Carolina just weeks ago. I like Georgia to pull the upset. Georgia 28 Florida 21
Texas Tech @ Kansas State: I'm still a little shocked that Tech is in the top 15, I didn't think they would be that great this year. K State is one of the best teams in the country. Kansas State 49 Texas Tech 38
Duke @ Florida State: This could be the ACC title game this year, believe it or not. Duke has looked good, probably because they have Hud Mullencamp on the team. Florida State 31 Duke 27
Michigan State @ Wisconsin: Well, Michigan State needs to win a game pretty bad, they've lost to Iowa and Michigan the last two weeks and have eliminated themselves from contention. Wisconsin is playing pretty well and they have a clear path to the conference title game. Wisconsin 27 Michigan State 14
Notre Dame @ Oklahoma: What a great game here in the middle of the season for both teams, winner is going to look pretty good for a BCS bowl game. The Irish have had a couple close calls this year, but they look good. Oklahoma has been tough since their loss to K State. Oklahoma 27 Notre Dame 21
Michigan @ Nebraska: Big division game here, both teams came up with late-minute wins a week ago. If Rex Burkhead was 100% I would pick Nebraska with ease, but this is a tough one, I think they can still win since they're at home. Nebraska 17 Michigan 14
Mississippi State @ Alabama: A battle of undefeated teams, Mississippi State is getting no love this year. Alabama is everyone's clear cut number one, and I'm guessing only Mississippi State and their fans think they have a shot in this one. Alabama 38 Mississippi State 21
Oregon State @ Washington: Washington is a good team, but they're having a hard time winning games. Oregon State comes in undefeated, but Washington has already upset one team this year. Washington 28 Oregon State 24 *upset of the week
I was 7-4 a week ago
Conferences
ACC: Florida State looks like the front runner, especially with a victory already against Clemson. The other division isn’t as easy to figure out, Duke, Miami and Virginia Tech will be the teams in the running, I think Va Tech will win it, but don’t count Duke out. Va Tech beat them in the head-to-head, which may help them clinch.
Big East: There’s a 3-way race for the top spot between, Louisville, Rutgers, and Cincinnati, and they all still have to play each other. It could be anyone’s ball game, but I like Louisville to win the conference, but I don’t think they’ll go undefeated.
SEC: I think Georgia might be able to sneak up on Florida and take the division, and I could see LSU knocking off Alabama at home, too, to set up LSU vs Georgia in the championship. I think LSU would win and get into a national title game, while Alabama also gets a BCS after going onedefeated. (Is that coined yet?)
Big 10: Conference has been somewhat of a mess, but there’s some damn good football games being played. The finishes of the Neb-NW, MIch-MSU, and OSU-Purd games this week were insane! Wisconsin is the obvious choice for the championship game, but who will they play? Should come down to Michigan or Nebraska, I’m going to take Michigan, with Michigan taking down Wisconsin and going to the Rose Bowl. Penn State is one of the hottest teams in the country right now, but of course, they’re not bowl eligible.
Big 12: West Virginia is right in the middle of the pack now, after cracking the top 10 for much of the season. Kansas State has a pretty favorable schedule and could go unbeaten with Oklahoma right behind them. I’ve got Kansas State winning all their games and taking on LSU in the title game right now, with Oklahoma earning a BCS birth.
Pac 12: The Oregon teams are both unbeaten, one of them will most likely take on USC for the conference title. I think USC will win it and Oregon will make a BCS, too.
Non BCS: The only non-bcs team that might get a shot at a BCS game is Notre Dame, they’re undefeated right now, but I think they lose to Oklahoma and USC, and I don’t know if 10-2 would be good enough to get them in. If they were in the Big East, they’d be in for sure. Boise State could sneak up in there, but I don’t think they’re schedule strength is that great, and they haven’t beaten anyone that great. Ohio is undefeated, but I could see them losing at Kent State and to Toledo or Northern Illinois in the conference title game, could be interesting though.

College Football
Great day of football yesterday! Especially watching Iowa knock off Michigan State on the road. I hate Michigan State, so that made it that much better. It still boggles me how a team can lose at home to Central Michigan then a few weeks later win at Michigan State.
Also, congrats to the New Mexico Lobos on their win over Hawaii late last night. Bob Davie has the Lobos at 4-3, bowl game?
Here were my predictions from yesterday, I did pretty well

Wisconsin 31 Purdue 21
Oregon State 17 BYU 10
USC 38 Washington 28
Notre Dame 35 Stanford 24

Wasn't expecting Texas Tech to knock off West Virginia, that was a whoopin! Makes the Heisman race a little more interesting, I think Braxton Miller and Collin Klein definitely moved up.

Oregon @ Arizona State: Both teams can put up points pretty easily, should be a high scoring game. Oregon 52 Arizona State 38
Texas Tech @ TCU: Texas Tech shocked me with a huge win over West Virginia, TCU came up with a big win after a tough loss to Iowa State. Texas Tech 42 TCU 35
LSU @ Texas A&M: LSU has a solid defense, can they shut down A&M? LSU 31 Texas A&M 24
Virginia Tech @ Clemson: Va Tech came back and beat Duke yesterday to try to keep pace for a division title. Clemson looks solid with QB Tajh Boyd. Clemson 38 Va Tech 27
Rutgers @ Temple: Rutgers is unbeaten but travel to take on a tough Temple team. Temple 28 Rutgers 21 *upset of the week
South Carolina @ Florida: Florida has been playing really well lately, South Carolina had a tough road loss at LSU and now have to travel to Florida. Florida 21 South Carolina 14
Nebraska @ Northwestern: Big game for both teams, loser slips in the division and will have a tougher climb. Nebraska got rocked at OSU in their last game, Northwestern is always a pesky team, should be a great game. Northwestern 34 Nebraska 27
Kansas State @ West Virginia: This game would have been game of the week had the Mountaineers not lost to Texas Tech. K State had to hold off Iowa State to win on the road. West Virginia 38 Kansas State 31
Cincinnati @ Toledo: Cincinnati is another undefeated team playing a tough opponent on the road this week. Toledo is on a roll right now. Toledo 34 Cincinnati 28
Florida State @ Miami: Miami had a tough loss against North Carolina yesterday, the Seminoles killed Boston College. I think they can carry the momentum over, Miami has struggled in big games. Florida State 38 Miami 17
Penn State @ Iowa: Iowa won at Michigan State and is tied with Michigan for the lead in the division. Penn State has been great since they lost their first two this year. Iowa always plays well against Penn State and I think home field advantage helps. Iowa 21 Penn State 13

Predictions
It's half way through the year, lets take a look at the season conference by conference.
ACC: None of the teams are undefeated, Florida State and Clemson both with one loss as of now. Duke also with only one loss, but I see them falling in conference play.
Championship: Florida State vs Miami
Bowl eligible teams: Florida State-BCS, Clemson, NC State, Miami, Virginia Tech
Big East: There are three unbeaten teams as of now, but they all have to play each other at some point. They might also be the only three teams that end up bowl eligible.
Bowl eligible teams: Louisville-BCS, Cincinnati, Rutgers
Big 10: Ohio State is undefeated, but they're not eligible for post season play. Rose Bowl is up for grabs this year.
Championship: Michigan vs Wisconsin
Bowl eligible teams: Michigan, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Nebraska, Northwestern, Iowa, Purdue
Big 12: Kansas State and West Virginia are both looking solid, they'll play next weekend in a huge game.
Bowl eligible teams: Oklahoma-BCS, West Virginia, Kansas State, Texas, Iowa State, Texas Tech, Baylor
SEC: Alabama is the team to beat right now and I don't see anyone doing it.
Championship: Alabama vs Georgia
Bowl eligible teams: Alabama-BCS, Georgia, Florida, LSU, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Missouri
Pac 12: Oregon and Oregon State are both undefeated and USC can get back in the title picture if they can win out, which I think they can.
Championship: Oregon vs USC
Bowl eligible teams: Oregon-BCS, USC, Oregon State, Stanford, Arizona State, Washington, UCLA, Utah
I think Notre Dame will finish 10-2
Here's my guess at the BCS teams
Alabama, Florida State, Oregon, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Louisville, USC, Notre Dame, LSU, Michigan
Oregon vs Alabama in the title game with Alabama winning
Heisman
I was going to put together a top 10 list or even a top 5, but I'm just going to go with a top 1.
Geno Smith QB West Virginia
He's the clear front-runner right now, I don't see anyone else even near where he's at right now. There's still a lot of football to play, Braxton Miller and Collin Klein could slide up there if they play well enough.

New Top 25, Top Games of the Week
It's certainly been a strange year in college football with Arkansas' free fall from the top 10 and not looking good for the remainder of the year, the Big Ten has been awful, Iowa walk-on fullback, Mark Weisman, is ranked in the top 20 in the nation in rushing, including a 217 yard effort in a stunning loss to Central Michigan. Well, here's my top 25 for this week.
1-Alabama
2-Florida State
3-Oregon
4-Geogia
5-LSU
6-South Carolina
7-Kansas State
8-Notre Dame
9-West Virginia
10-Florida
11-Ohio State
12-Texas

19-Oregon State

21-Washington
22-UCLA
23-Nebraska
24-Cincinnati
25-Texas A&M
Teams missing the cut: Miami, Texas Tech, Rutgers, Northwestern, Baylor, Ohio, Boise State, Arizona State, La Tech
Top Games Saturday
Northwestern at Penn State: Both teams are hot right now, Northwestern undefeated, the Lions have won three in a row. I'm rooting for the Lions in this one, I think they'll pull off a close one. PSU 24 NW 21
Virginia Tech at North Carolina: Va Tech is down right now and they're facing a tough Tar Heels team on the road, but for some reason I think the Hokies get back on track. VT 34 UNC 24
Arizona at Stanford: Stanford was upset last week and should bounce back to beat a pretty solid Arizona squad. Stanford 35 Arizona 27
LSU at Florida: LSU hasn't been that impressive in their victories, but neither has Florida. This is going to be a great game, maybe better than the Georgia-S. Carolina game. LSU 17 Florida 13
Oklahoma at Texas Tech: Oklahoma was one of my favorites to win a national title this year, they travel to Lubbock to take on the undefeated Red Raiders, who have been decent. Oklahoma 42 Tech 28
Georgia at South Carolina: I like both of these teams this year, Georgia has a nice balanced attack on offense that everyone thought would be one-dimensional this year, the Gamecocks have the best running back in the nation not named Mark Weisman, Marcus Lattimore. This is going to be a good one. Georgia pulls it off 35-28
West Virginia at Texas: Geno Smith is everyone's favorite for the Heisman right now it seems after his video game numbers last week against Baylor. They're getting into the meat of their schedule now though. Texas is a pretty tough team this year, should be a good high-scoring game. West Virginia 49 Texas 38
Miami at Notre Dame: When Miami got stomped by K State I kind of ruled them out, but they've bounced back. The Irish have looked tough this year, this should be a good one. Notre Dame 27 Miami 21
Nebraska at Ohio State: Last year's game will be tough to beat, amazing performance by Rex Burkhead in the second half. Both teams coming off big conference wins. Ohio State gets revenge from last year 24-17
Washington at Oregon: Washington pulled off the upset of Stanford last week, but Oregon is too tough for them. Oregon 45 Washington 24
Should be some solid close games this weekend. Alabama will sit and watch and see if anyone can close the gap at all for the number one spot, my guess is no.
