Another week and another Iowa Hawkeye victory! They got off to a quick start and had three running backs each rush for a touchdown in the first half. Turnovers helped seal the win 31-15. Maryland's QB Perry Hills was able to run against Iowa, but he was held in check passing the ball. Miles Taylor played the best game of his young career against his home state. He recovered a fumble and intercepted a pass. He also collected eight tackles, and that dude can hit! The Hawkeye defense has been pretty incredible this year. Oklahoma State allowed 53 points against Texas Tech on Saturday, Iowa has only allowed 51 in their four conference games. C.J. Beathard was once again not 100% and I doubt he will be for awhile. He missed on some throws, but had a couple of nice ones. Tight End George Kittle had a huge one handed grab early in the game which sparked some momentum. Desmond King sealed the deal with an 88 yard interception return for a touchdown, his seventh interception of the season. He's one away from tying the school record, which is held by Lou King and Nile Kinnick.
The Hawkeyes travel to Bloomington, Indiana, this weekend to take on Indiana. The Hoosiers have a solid offense, led by QB Nate Sudfeld, but they're defense is awful. I think Iowa will win by a couple of touchdowns.
There were some crazy finishes on Saturday. Miami used eight laterals on a kickoff to knock off Duke on the road, although the play should have been called dead when one of the players' knees hit the ground. That game knocked Duke out of the playoff race. They still have a shot at the division if they can knock off North Carolina this weekend.
New Mexico State finally won a game, and it came on the final play of the game. Leading by seven in overtime, an Aggie defensive player intercepted a pass with his feet to seal the win.

Games of the Week
I was 8-2 last week, I'm 67-31 for the season now. Pretty solid slate of games this week.
Navy at Memphis: Navy's lone loss is to Notre Dame, they have a solid team. Memphis looks really good though. Memphis 45 Navy 28
Florida State at Clemson: Huge game for both teams, Florida State looked pretty sharp against Syracuse and Clemson continues to roll. Clemson 34 Florida State 28
Duke at North Carolina: Duke got hosed against Miami, did it suck the life out of them? North Carolina is quietly 7-1. North Carolina 28 Duke 24
Notre Dame at Pittsburgh: This should be a great game, I think the Irish pull it off. Notre Dame 31 Pittsburgh 27
Iowa at Indiana: Indiana always seems to give good Iowa teams a hard time, this one might not be too much different, but I think the Hawkeyes will pull away. Iowa 38 Indiana 24
Penn State at Northwestern: Only four losses between the two teams, this is going to be a defensive slugfest. Northwestern 17 Penn State 14
TCU at Oklahoma State: This is a tough game to predict, TCU has had a couple of close games against weaker opponents and Oklahoma State just keeps winning. Can they pull the upset this week? TCU 45 Oklahoma State 42
Utah State at New Mexico: The Lobos return to action after a bye week last week. I don't think they have enough talent to hang with Utah State. Utah State 34 New Mexico 23
California at Oregon: Both teams are sitting at 5-3 and their schedules aren't getting any easier. They both really need a win right now. Oregon 42 California 34
Utah at Washington: This could be a tough game for the Utes, but I think they'll pull it off. Utah 24 Washington 21
LSU at Alabama: The game of the week, winner will have the lead in the toughest division in college football. Alabama 27 LSU 24
