Northern Illinois doesn't return much on offense, but they do return a bulk of the defensive players. The defense did give up a lot of passing yards last year though, which could be key in this game. I think Vandenberg will have a solid day, I think this WR unit could be a solid one for Iowa. Look for some younger guys to step up. I think the OL is going to do well enough for one of the running backs to have a nice day as well. I think the DL will be better than people expect and this will be a good game for them. The Huskies OL doesn't return many starts, so they could have a hard time with the young DL unit.
I think the Iowa defense will force a few turnovers and will help lead the Hawkeyes to victory Saturday.
Iowa 27 N. Illinois 14
